The Cracked Screen
You keep meaning to fix it. The phone screen with its spider web of cracks that catches your finger every time you swipe. Each day brings fresh cuts, tiny blood dots on the glass. You know it needs repair, but somehow you've grown used to the damage. Maybe you've even convinced yourself this is just how phones work now, broken but functional, painful but familiar.
