The God Who Gets It
There's a particular kind of loneliness that comes when you try to explain your deepest pain to someone who cares about you. You watch their face as you speak, see the sympathy forming in their eyes, but also that slight distance that says, "I'm trying, but I just don't get it." They love you. They want to help. But they haven't been where you are.
